About Event

🧠 What is this event about?

The speed of AI Safety demands fast-learning communicators. Many of us are doing this in isolation. That’s not efficient. We want to create a community, and learn from each other: real wins (or mistakes!) from your personal journey.

Good AI safety communication is clear, accessible, and actionable. We need less abstraction and more action: AI safety ideas only matter if people actually understand them.

📍 What to expect

We’ve reserved tables at The Sipping Room, with built in time to effectively learn from each other. This is a space to exchange ideas, test communication approaches and meet others who aspire to build stronger strategies to mobilise AI safety awareness and action.

Schedule:

14:30: Arrival & informal mingling

Gather your name tags, and claim your first drink!

14:45: Welcome and greetings from the organisers

Introduction to the lightning talk framework:

We’re focusing on real-world lessons:
• one big win
• or one big mistake

Each speaker gives a lightning talk (max. 5 minutes):→ what was your comms objective?

→ what was your idea/theory?

→ what did you do? What was the result?

→ why did/didn’t it work?

→ what would you do differently?

15:00: Lightning talks begin (5 min max each)

  • Frances Chinaza Agba - Computer Science Educator & AI Governance

  • Lauren Goldgrub – Content Creator (Lauren on AI, Lauren’s Little Library)

  • Max Winga – Policy Analyst, Control AI

  • Caitlin Yardley – Content Creator (Future Briefing) & Head of Partnerships at The Frame Fellowship

  • Jessica Wang – Founder & Director, Safe AI Germany (SAIGE)

  • Ana Paula Castillo – Co-Director and Board Member, Safe AI Netherlands (SAIN)

15:30: Open networking & discussion afterwards

After the talks, we open the space for networking, discussion, and questions.

We encourage you to reflect on each of the talks. We will provide some reflection questions to help you have insightful conversations.

Tip: tag your Linkedin profile to your luma page, so you can network easily through this event page!

From here, we will head to the EA Global conference together!
