Portland AI Safety: A Conversation

​We're back after a bit of a summer break, and we're trying out something new.

​We're hosting a session using a facilitated watch-and-discuss format we've been building at AISAP. We watch a short video together, then work through a set of questions as a group. You'll leave having had thoughtful discussion, met a few people, and thought harder about a few questions you likely haven't contemplated before.

• ​Facilitated discussion in small groups, then all together

• ​Closing round and informal time after

​Who this is for: anyone curious about how AI is going. If you've heard that AI also carries some pretty serious risks and are curious what that means, this is a great session for you. No technical background needed, no prior reading, no prep. Skeptics and enthusiasts both welcome. The discussion works well with varying opinions.
