AI for Everyone: Vibe-Coding Workshop
Get ready for a hands-on, no-pressure dive into the world of AI. This isn't a lecture. This is a vibe-coding session where we'll show you how to use AI as your personal coding partner. We're here to demystify programming and help you build a functional project, regardless of your major.
No coding experience? No problem. That's the whole point of vibe-coding! You bring the ideas, and the AI helps you write the actual code. All you need is a laptop and an idea (and we'll even help with the idea part).
4:45-5:00pm: Doors Open
Arrive, grab a seat, and get your device connected.
Meet someone new! Find a potential teammate or just just with fellow builders.
5:00-5:30pm: Workshop
Our workshop lead will kick things off with a fast-paced, engaging presentation.
We'll cover how AI can be used to write, debug, and translate code in plain English.
We'll introduce the simple AI tools you can use tonight to build real applications, even if you've never written a line of code before.
5:30-6:30pm: Build Hour
This is your hour! Team up with new friends or fly solo.
The challenge: Use an AI tool to write the code for a simple project. This could be anything:
A simple web app that generates poetry
A Python script that generates business ideas for your major.
A simple AI-powered chatbot
A basic webpage that uses an AI art-generation API
Workshop leads and mentors will be walking around to help you get unstuck, debug your AI's code, and refine your prompts.
6:30-7:00pm: Show-and-Tell & Networking
Got something working? Want to share what you built? This is the time for super-quick, informal demos (3-5 minutes max).
This is a workshop, not a competition. All efforts are celebrated!
After the demos, stick around, share your project, find a future co-founder, or just chat with the Founders @ Hunter community.
7:00pm: Wrap-up
Good vibes, new skills, and (hopefully) a cool new thing you built with code!
