Base, founded in 2023, recently closed a $1B Series D at a $13B valuation, with participation from investors including a16z, Thrive, Lightspeed, Ribbit, Addition, Valor Equity Partners, Altimeter, and more. Base is an energy technology company building distributed battery storage for the grid using vertical integration, with its manufacturing facility right here in Austin.

​Leadership:

​🔋 Zach is a former venture investor from Thrive Capital, previously working as a PE Analyst at Blackstone. He's from Austin and studied at the University of Southern California.

​🔧 Justin was previously the Head of Manufacturing at Anduril and had worked as the Lead Starship Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan.
