Pocket Networking: A Raspberry Pi Home Server
Let's set up and take home a Raspberry Pi Zero W home server!
This server will be set up to be accessible as a LAN — a local network specific to a place (in this case, your home network). This server won't be accessible to the wider internet, so you can have a digital space connected to a physical space.
Your server will come with a number of pre-installed collaborative applications: a gameboy emulator, photobooth, guestbook, and collaborative pixel art wall. You'll also leave with instructions on how to further customize your home server.
Preparing for the workshop:
Some command-line experience would be helpful (but not required!)
Bring your laptop!
This workshop will be led by Alex Wennerberg, an engineer and creative technologist especially interested in alternative networking.
