About Event

Zine Quest is Kickstarter’s annual open call celebrating small-format RPG zines—and it’s the perfect moment to bring your project to life. To kick things off, we’re hosting a live panel with creators launching projects during this year’s Zine Quest.

Join Nicole Amato, Games Outreach Lead, for a conversation with experienced creators Michael Putlack of Night Noon Games, Bob World Builder, Philip Reed (115-time Kickstarter creator), and Ricardo Evangelho of Hit Point Press. They’ll share what it’s like to participate in Zine Quest, lessons learned from past campaigns, and what they’re excited to launch this year.

You’ll hear practical tips on planning, launching, and running a successful zine project, plus get a preview of the projects coming to Kickstarter during the February open call.

Whether you’re a creator thinking about launching your first zine or a backer excited to discover new tabletop worlds, this session offers a behind-the-scenes look at what makes Zine Quest such a special moment on Kickstarter.

You’ll learn:

  • 📘 What Zine Quest is and how the open call works

  • ✏️ How to launch a successful RPG zine during February

  • 🚀 Tips and lessons from creators who’ve run Zine Quest campaigns before

  • 📣 Best practices for setting up and promoting your project

  • 📖 Sneak previews of the projects creators are bringing to life during Zine Quest

We’ll also host a live Q&A, so bring your questions—whether you’re a creator preparing your own campaign or a backer eager to learn more about the projects launching this February.
