Camp Walden: Linocut Carving Workshop
YO TYE DYE GIRL! 🎨✂️
Art Club is nothing if not playful nostalgia and it's time we bring it back to one of my all time favorites: the 1998 release of The Parent Trap staring my Long Island queen, Ms. Lindsay Lohan.
I like to imagine Hallie & Annie got to do a bit of linocutting at Camp Walden, sometime between the fencing and the poker and the isolation cabin... so we're giving it a go!
Join us for a crafternoon at Spud's Coffee where we'll have all the supplies to design & carve your own linocut stamp! Plus, sip mocktails by Parker Knoll Vineyards (IYKYK) & snack a tasty Oreo-peanut butter treat by Big Spoon Bakery (sister-owned... the twins would be so proud!!).
What will I be wearing? Chessy-chic, of course ✨ We encourage and applaud your own take on character-inspired dress code, but as always, come as you are.
And of course, we'll have the ultimate millennial mems playlist featuring music from the movie to take you send you right back to all the best of '98.
Ticket Includes:
4x6in linocut block to carve your stamp(s) 🎨
Sharable carving tools to borrow ✂️
Art Club postcard of the month 💌
Oreo peanut butter cookie from the sisters behind Big Spoon Bakery 🍪
Mocktail from Parker Knoll Vineyard (lolz) 🍷
Healthy, wholesome dopamine rush for your wellness 🧠
Kind, welcoming atmosphere & fun nostalgia playlist 🎶
Friends you have't met yet!! 💖
Important Reminders:
🎨 Do you need to be "good" at art? Absolutely not (and also, you already are!!). We're here for a good time, to make a little something cute for our homes or for our friends, and to enjoy the moment.
🖌️ While we appreciate the importance of art in the lives of children, this is an 18+ event. We need a chance to create like children again, too.🤸🏼♀️
