​Shor's algorithm is a rare example of quantum advantage, where we harness the actual quantum phenomena to extract knowledge about numbers and functions. No, a quantum computer is not fast, it parallelizes awfully, and it doesn't compute all the options all at once.

Let's run Shor's algorithm with IBM's framework Qiskit and factor some tiny numbers. Then, let's dig into the math behind it, separate number theory from physics, and develop some intuition as to why Shor's algorithm is possible at all.
