(Is) Neighbourhood Working?
Join Dr Claire Fuller and Anima for a crunchy discussion on what's next for Neighbourhoods.
The discussion
Neighbourhood working promises care organised around the people who need it.
But what does change look like for a patient who still has to tell their story five times, or a GP trying to coordinate care across services that work separately?
The practical questions are hard:
Who takes responsibility for a patient across organisational boundaries? And how?
What can high-performing teams do themselves, starting now?
And what are the promises and risks of new technology here?
The format
Dr Claire Fuller is a GP, former NHS England Medical Director, and NHS lead for Neighbourhood Care.
She led the Fuller Stocktake, which set out a vision for integrating primary care around local communities. Few people have been closer to the ambition, or the work of putting it into practice.
She will join Dr Ben Walker, Clinical Strategy at Anima and a former NHS doctor, for a fireside conversation followed by open Q&A.
Anima Out of Hours brings together people shaping healthcare and technology for crunchy and candid discussion, with food and drinks at our Farringdon office. Places are limited so everyone can take part.
