Taking Up Space - Gallery Hop

On Sept 9th, Taking Up Space NYC will be hosting a gallery hop in the Lower East Side!
An itinerary will be shared the day before (Tues, Sept 8th by 8pm) listing a meeting spot and 3-4 galleries we'll visit as a group. Afterward, we'll go to a nearby bar to talk about the art and mingle.
Taking Up Space NYC is a community reimagining how we experience art together, with inclusivity and intention. Because cultural spaces belong to all of us.
Through curated gallery hops, museum visits, and community gatherings, we center minority artists and minority-owned galleries while fostering meaningful connection beyond traditional art spaces.
