Muddy Toes: A Small Group Composting & Harvesting Experience
A small-group composting and harvesting experience in a private outdoor garden plot.
Set within a larger gardening space, this small plot is reserved for your group during the session. This is best experienced with 2–4 people, allowing us to slow down, observe, and care for the space together.
Together, we’ll tend to compost heaps, explore finished compost, look for signs of life in the soil, and harvest edible leaves. Along the way, we’ll experience how nature-based gardening practices (such as mulching, diverse planting and composting) can support a thriving garden ecosystem.
Depending on what’s ready for harvesting, we may find laksa leaves, sand ginger leaves, turmeric leaves, mint and marsh pennywort.
This experience is for you if…
You don’t mind getting your toes or shoes a little muddy.
You’re curious about exploring a little fern-like habitat under shade netting.
You’d like to experience what it means to care for a garden ecosystem.
You don’t mind getting a little wet — the plot has overhead auto irrigation!
No gardening experience is needed. Gloves, handheld gardening tools, organic materials for composting, and small stools will be provided.
$38 per person. Payment is via PayNow.
Registration closes when we have 3 paying participants. Your place at Muddy Toes is confirmed once payment is received.
Confirmed participants will receive an email with further details.
Rain or haze
Muddy Toes goes ahead in light rain. The session will be cancelled if moderate to heavy rain or unhealthy haze levels are forecast during the two hours of the session.
