Deploy AI - How LLMs work and how we work with them
Deploy AI series is all about engineers talking to engineers about what they've built and learned. This time, our Speakers prepared two talks on working with LLMs. Expect deep insights with a hit of controversy to get the conversations started!
Paweł Wiercioch (Software Engineer, Upside)
From Neurons to Transformers: How We Taught Machines to Read
Have you ever wondered what happens inside ChatGPT? Me too. This talk is my attempt to answer that from a developer's perspective — built around intuition rather than equations, for genuinely curious people who use these tools every day and want to see what's underneath.
Wiktor Daniec (Senior Software Engineer, Upside)
Why AI Made Neovim Worth Learning
Most people learning to program eventually hit the same debate: should I switch to Vim? These almost-ancient tools promised huge productivity gains, but the learning curve and configuration overhead made them not worth it — until now. I'll share how I switched from VS Code to Neovim, and how surprisingly seamless the whole thing turned out to be.
After the talks, we stay for networking - that's the best part, and where most of the conversations happen.
Who's it for?
Developers, architects, and tech leads working with AI day to day, or planning to.
