Umberman

​The Umberman is an intimate multimedia exhibition uniting ten original song compositions with ten oil paintings on copper by Nigerian artist Babajide Olatunji, each song in dialogue with a corresponding painting.

​Set within the enchanting, historical landmark of Fitzrovia Chapel, the project traces one man's journey in navigating love, loss, and the precariousness that forever follows belief, presented in rich tones and chiaroscuro reminiscent of the Old Masters and scored with African percussive rhythms layered with orchestral texture.

​Expect an immersive, devotional first evening of acoustic musical presentation by the artist.
