About Event

This session will escape the normal bounds of climate week in NYC… Step onto a farm field, buzzing with pollinators, rich, nutrient-dense soil and lush thriving crops. Experience the rich sounds, scents and sights of regenerative agriculture. Within this thriving ecosystem, we will dive into a two-part learning experience, focused on how collaboration unlocks new pathways for impact.

Part I: Regeneration & Biodiversity in the Beauty Sector Join us for an interactive discussion sharing the collaborative partnership between a popular beauty brand, Arva and NatureMetrics to measure and manage carbon and biodiversity in agricultural supply chains for their famed beauty products. In this innovative initiative, NatureMetrics provides field-level biodiversity measurement alongside Arva’s field-level emissions tracking. Come learn, share ideas and consider how investments in regeneration go beyond carbon to support species habitat restoration and protection. This session will include story-telling from the collaborators, along with interactive and sensory engagement with the sights, smells and sounds of a healthy agrarian ecosystem.

Part II: Designing Long-term Regen Agriculture Programs: Benefiting Farmers & Healing Soil What does it take to launch a new program, with new partners? When the goal is regenerating the supply chain, what needs to be in place to make a meaningful, lasting impact? And how can programs be collaboratively designed to put the farmer at the heart of the solution? Arva, farmer co-ops, and several CPGs will join to discuss how we work to design and implement programs that create meaningful benefits to farmers. We will share how programs can be activated over the long term, to make incremental progress across the spectrum of regenerative agriculture adoption. We will share program elements, how we designed for the greatest impact, and how we addressed challenges in a complex and large supply chain. This session will include short speaker presentations, allowing for immediate attendee engagement and feedback, along with breakout sessions for focused discussion and problem-solving.
