About Event

Part I: From Field to Formula: Tracking Carbon and Biodiversity at the Source

Join us for an interactive discussion sharing the collaborative partnership between Sol de Janeiro, Arva and NatureMetrics to measure and manage carbon and biodiversity in Sol de Janeiro’s agricultural supply chain for their famed beauty products. In this innovative initiative, NatureMetric is providing field-level biodiversity measurement in conjunction with Arva’s field-level emissions tracking. Come learn, share ideas and consider how investments in regeneration go beyond carbon to support species habitat restoration and protection. This session will include storytelling from the collaborators, along with interactive and sensory engagement with the sights, smells and sounds of a healthy agrarian ecosystem. Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sustainability at Sol de Janeiro, Hope Bristow and CEO, Nature Metrics, Dimple Patel, will join Catherine Coteus, VP Sustainability Arva for this engaging event.

Part II: Collaborative, Long-term Regen Agriculture Programs: How CPGs are Approaching Program Design
Launching a new program with new partners raises hard questions: what needs to be in place to make a meaningful, lasting impact when the goal is regenerating the supply chain, and how can programs be collaboratively designed to put the farmer at the heart of the solution?

We will hear from three leading CPGs whose programs are charting new territories on what's possible for sustainable and regenerative agriculture at scale. Nida Blockert (Nestlé), Rachel Grunberg (Hershey), and Allison Lin (Mars) will share their learnings and discuss how programs can be activated over the long term to make incremental progress across the spectrum of regenerative agriculture adoption. They will cover program elements, how they designed for the greatest impact, and how they addressed challenges in a complex, large-scale supply chain. This session will include short speaker presentations, allowing time for attendee engagement and feedback.

Discussion facilitated by Catherine Coteus, VP Sustainability at Arva.
