Regional Talent Engine AMA
£20,000 to Build Your Startup — Regional Talent Engines
Join Ian Browne and Daniel Lowe for a lunchtime AMA at Royal Academy of Engineering space in the Ormeau Labs. Bring your questions — about the programme, whether your idea qualifies, what the 6 months actually look like, or anything else. No pitch required, no pressure. Just a conversation.
Got an idea for a tech or engineering startup? The Royal Academy of Engineering will give you £20k, coaching, and 6 months of support to make it real. No equity. No fees. No catch. Come ask us anything.
What is it?
The Regional Talent Engine is a 6-month pre-accelerator from the Royal Academy of Engineering, designed for early-stage engineers and founders in Northern Ireland. If you've got a promising idea but haven't had the time, the resources, or the confidence to pursue it — this is for you.
You don't need a team. You don't need a product. You don't need a business plan. You need an engineering problem worth solving and the motivation to go after it.
What you get:
£20,000 equity-free grant towards living costs
Training sessions in Belfast
One-to-one coaching and mentoring
Free access to co-working spaces across the UK
A community of ambitious founders and the RAEng network
No fees. No equity taken. Ever.
The programme has already supported 186 founders across the UK, who've gone on to raise £20m in further funding and create over 200 jobs.
Lunch provided.
Applications close 14 April
