AI Safety Action Day - Networking Brunch, Career Q&As, Coworking, ...

​The day after SAIGE’s European Frontier AI Safety Day, we're opening our aisafety.berlin coworking space for a day of further networking, reflection, and putting things into practice.

​We’ll offer some structured peer support sessions and office hours with AI safety professionals from various AI safety orgs (speakers tbc) and field builders. We’ll also have a quiet coworking room, and a large kitchen and communal space for socializing.

​Meet the people in your (target) field, ask the questions you’ve been pondering on for days, write that job or grant application you’ve been putting off, or just connect with other ambitious researchers, policy-makers, field builders, and others working towards safe and beneficial AI.

​Who this is for

​This is for people serious about AI safety, looking for jobs, funding, or collaborators. EFAIS attendees, aisafety.berlin regulars and visitors are particularly welcome. If you’re new to the field, you’re welcome to apply, but don’t expect any introductions to the field.

​Rough plan (draft, we'll update this closer to the date)

• ​11:00 Coworking space opens

• ​11:15 Brunch buffet opens (contribute to costs or bring your own food) + networking

• ​12:30  Office hours and 1-1 matching

• ​13:30  Lunch break with lightning talks (1-3min)

• ​14:30 Open space (coworking, brainstorming, maybe some semi-structured peer support)

• ​17:00 End (might extend spontaneously, or move to a park nearby)

​Please arrive at 11:00, 12:30, 13:30 or 15:00, if possible. Stay long as you like; you can also just drop by.
