Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet
Deer Park is a community of mindful living established in a 400 acre sanctuary by Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. Their daily lives include walking meditation, eating meditation, and ecologically sustainable practices to live in harmony with the Earth and all its beings. The brothers, sisters, and lay friends cultivate peace, happiness, and resilience through this alignment.
In support of fostering climate resilience, Deer Park welcomes visitors between 9 am and 1 pm on Sunday, Oct 5 for a "Day of Mindfulness." Registration required.
Falling in love with Mother Earth can be a foundation of climate action. Our teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) composed love letters to Mother Earth. Link to these guided contemplations: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHB1Zqu9mBt8Xu85v8Lx4yRntniOoCXed
