​SPEAKERS + FEATURES

• ​Speaker - Henry Chan founded Micronics, a desktop SLS 3D printing startup that was acquired by Formlabs in 2024. He now serves as tech lead on Formlabs' next-generation SLS printers, leading a team of ~25 engineers. While studying aerospace engineering at UW-Madison, Henry built his own CNC in his apartment — which he then used to bootstrap Micronics, making parts for its first prototypes. Originally from Hong Kong, he speaks candidly about hardware entrepreneurship end-to-end: rapid prototyping, crowdfunding, go-to-market missteps, and navigating an acquisition.

• ​Speaker - Aaron Weber has spent his career working in in the Boston area as an optical systems engineer and hardware team leader. Aaron specializes in complex multi-discipline products which use optics as an enabling technology ranging from microfludic-based DNA sequencers to self-correcting 3D printers. He is currently doing consulting as Spy Pond Engineering, helping companies bring their products to life, and will be talking about why startups need to worry about documentation.
