FOMO Cape Town invites you to pull up a chair at our weekly dinner series — a relaxed, no-frills gathering designed to bring together curious, open-minded people over good food in some of the city's most interesting restaurants.
What it's all about
Every week, we pick a different spot. Sometimes it's a hidden gem tucked away in Woodstock. Sometimes it's a new opening everyone's been talking about. Other times it's that neighbourhood place you've walked past a hundred times but never tried. The idea is simple: explore Cape Town's incredible food scene together, one dinner at a time.
But let's be honest — the food is only half of it. What makes these evenings special is the mix of people around the table. Founders, artists, travellers, locals, remote workers, dreamers, schemers, and everyone in between. No networking agenda, no pitch decks, no awkward name tags. Just real conversation with interesting humans.
How it works
We announce each week's restaurant a few days in advance. You sign up if you're keen. You show up, grab a seat, order what you like, and split your own bill at the end. That's it.
Whether you come once or become a regular, you're welcome at the table.

When: Wednesday 28th January, 7PM-9:30PM
7PM-7:30PM FOMO sponsored welcome sparkling wine while catching the sunset from the rooftop
7:30PM-9:30PM seated dinner at the restaurant
Where: A different restaurant each week across Cape Town
Cost: Everyone pays for their own food and drinks
Group size: Intimate enough to actually talk to people, big enough to meet someone new
Note: This week's venue does not sell alcohol. Bring your own favorite bottle(s) of (sparkling) wine, beers or ciders. A R100 corkage fee will be added from the restaurant per bottle (or six pack for beer/cider).
