How should the CEN operate in 2027?
Our relationship with Indigo Power is likely to change in 2027 so now is a good time to reflect on how the CEN has changed over the years and what makes it work best.
Cathy McGowan, Indigo Power, Indigo Power Foundation (Kirsten Seeto) and Energy Together have all delivered different versions of the CEN over its lifetime.
In-person events have been largely replaced by online catch ups but hybrid formats and a mix of online and face-to-face can be used to ensure that relationships build.
Energy Together is grappling with the relationships it needs to build at the national level, but state based networks are important too. Regional level connections will be an essential part of embedding community energy into regional leadership and vision. Local Government can be a variable quantity and is yet to be furnished with a formal role and resources for local energy transitions.
And what we do together needs to align with all our priorities.
