Storytelling x Robots: A gathering for creative technologists
Are you a roboticist, artist, storyteller, designer, musician, or engineer?
Join us! Human Computer Lab is a cross pollinating creatives and roboticists to spend an evening together imagining the future of human-robot interaction through storytelling.
The collective will collaborate and build short scenarios or scrappy prototypes imagining how robots could fit into everyday life.
Our team will provide materials, however you are encouraged to bring any tool (or robot) you like! Bring your guitar, sketchbook, ipad/laptop, hand-tools, etc :) You will then explore human–robot interaction through narrative, design, and experimentation.
If you’re interested in robotics, step outside the technical and into creativity; if you’re a creative, step into technology and see how your ideas can shape it.

What is Human Computer Lab?
Human Computer Lab is a research lab. Our first robot is LeLamp — an expressive robot that feels alive and responsive. Our goal is to change how people form a relationship with technology by making it more human, legible, and emotionally intuitive. We believe that the future isn’t just functional robots, but also robots that feel natural to use and are designed for positive human-robot attachment.
