We are gathering a group of entrepreneurs and investors – family offices, angel investors – for a morning of good coffee, breakfast, and direct conversations with our Amsterdam-based investment team.

The morning will begin with Saskia Bruysten, Co-Founder and Partner at Carbon Equity, who will share a short introduction and an overview of Carbon Equity’s mission and approach. Saskia brings over 15 years of experience in impact investing and sustainable finance, having co-founded Yunus Social Business alongside Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus and started her career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
After Saskia’s introduction, the investment team will takeover: Bas van Beijeren, Investment Director at Carbon Equity, and one of the driving forces behind our climate strategy. With over 10 years of experience at AlpInvest and ABN Amro, Bas has led over 20 fund commitments and co-investments at Carbon Equity.
Alongside him is Carolina Echecopar, Investment Manager and the first employee at Carbon Equity. Having started her career at VentureIQ, Carolina has spent the past four years building Carbon Equity’s investment portfolio, working closely on fund selection and co-investment due diligence.
Together, Bas and Carolina have been involved in the entire Carbon Equity portfolio, selecting some of the world’s best climate tech funds and co-investments, and turning them into accessible, high-performing investment products for our community.
