What’s Your Setup?
Chicago Workflow & AI Meetup
Join Chicago founders, freelancers, builders, and agency and studio owners to compare the tools and workflows we use to run our workdays.
We’ll see practical setups from presenters, then open the conversation to the room: what’s working, what keeps slowing us down, and what someone else has already figured out.
Think client proposals, finding notes from your last meeting, planning projects, creating content, or automating a task you’re tired of repeating.
What to expect
Short demonstrations, honest questions, and time to meet people working through similar challenges. Show us the version you actually use—it doesn’t need to be polished.
Previous sessions have covered second brains, AI-assisted job searches, automated research, content workflows, and project management systems.
Speaker Line-up:
Agent for Research Papers - Parsia Hedayat: Too many sources. More research papers than anyone can read, which one matters? Parsia’s agent builds his feed every morning and tells him why each item matters to what he’s working on.
Interruptions & Context for Proposals - Anindya Singh Obi: We're interrupted every 2 minutes, and three breaks a day gets us to lose focus. Proposals are the same shape. The grind isn’t the writing. It’s everything before it. Anindya will show an agent that helps with both.
Bring a question or something worth sharing
If you’d like to contribute, come with:
One challenge: a repetitive task, a frustrating process, or something you haven’t figured out yet.
One useful setup: a tool, workflow, automation, prompt, or small trick that makes your work easier.
You’re welcome to come, listen, and ask questions. You don’t need to have a setup ready to present.
Schedule
4:00–4:15 PM — Arrive, grab snacks, and meet the room
4:15–5:00 PM — Welcome and presenter demonstrations
5:00–5:30 PM — Community sharing and discussion
At the end, attendees will vote for the idea they most want to try that week. The person whose idea receives the most votes wins one month of Claude Pro.
Who it’s for
Founders, freelancers, solopreneurs, builders, and agency and studio owners interested in practical ways to organize their work and reduce repetitive tasks.
Come with something you’re trying to solve. Leave with a setup to try and people you can keep comparing notes with.
A free event hosted by Anindya Singh Obi, building HuTouch. Snacks on me.
