Rather than talking theory, Tom will reflect on the reality of implementation: what surprised the team, where the effort actually went, what they’d do differently if starting again, how those lessons are shaping Metro Trains Sydney’s approach to Year Two, and the advice he’d give organisations now embarking on their own reporting journey.
Then hear the assurance perspective.
Building on Tom’s discussion, Rene Muller, Partner at SW Accountants & Advisors, will share the common assurance themes emerging across organisations preparing for ASRS.
Drawing on her work with organisations preparing for ASRS and assurance, Rene will discuss where evidence requirements have surprised teams, the implementation pitfalls that consistently emerge, what auditors are really looking for in a proportionate Year One disclosure, and how organisations can avoid unnecessary complexity while remaining audit-ready.
