BASE Speaker Series - Preeti Ravindra
🔍 Talk Overview
As AI agents are writing code, modifying infrastructure, and operating inside real systems, AI safety and security are becoming inseparable. This talk aims to talk about safety and security of AI systems drawing from my research experience at Redwood Research as well as industry experience as AI security lead. I’ll also reflect on why safety and security communities should come together, closing with an ask-me-anything on careers, fellowships, AI safety, AI security, research and engineering.
💡Speaker Spotlight:
Preeti is a technical leader who has delivered security outcomes by applying AI to security problems and ensuring AI systems are secure and trustworthy for over a decade. Her career spans startups to Fortune 100 companies, where I’ve advanced research and implemented it into scalable, revenue-aligned systems. I solve problems in both product security and security operations, bridging research and engineering execution with equal ease. She values the proposition of working across functions, cutting through ambiguity, and delivering measurable business value.
As a recognized industry voice, she spoke at conferences such as Defcon and BSides, and served on program committees for [unprompted] and CAMLIS. I’m passionate about bridging the AI and security communities and advancing early career professionals to more senior roles.
A brief Q&A session with the speaker will follow this talk.
