Hear freshly crafted stories from your Twin Cities neighbors—many stepping up to the mic for the first time. Join us in celebrating community members who share their lived experiences of climate change and environmental justice, along with their solutions and visions for a more vibrant future.
This event contributes to the State of Minnesota’s Cumulative Impacts rule development and implementation. The bill passed in 2023 is intended to benefit residents of environmental justice areas through additions to the air permitting process. Community participation is crucial in the development and implementation of the rule. Our stories support civic engagement, which has the power to impact the rule.

Featuring the Afro-Latin to hip hop and R&B beats of drummer Kevin Washington, who will assist in facilitating spoken stories with interspersed music.
Enjoy refreshments and an immersive afternoon of stories, poetry, and music that engage head, heart, and soul. Together, we’ll prepare ourselves to meet the urgent environmental challenges of our time and explore meaningful ways to respond.
Community participation is crucial in this process, as our stories have the power to ensure the law carries the strength and accountability it was intended to have.
This event is hosted by Change Narrative LLC with community partners: Sabathani Community Center, San Pablo Community Church, in collaboration with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

Acompáñenos a celebrar a los miembros de la comunidad que comparten con valentía sus experiencias vividas sobre el cambio climático y la justicia ambiental, junto con sus soluciones y visiones para un futuro más próspero.

Con ritmos afrolatinos, hip hop y R&B del baterista Kevin Washington, quien intercalará historias habladas.
Disfrute de un refrigerio y una tarde inmersiva de cuentos, poesía y música que involucran la mente, el corazón y el alma. Juntos, nos prepararemos para afrontar los urgentes desafíos ambientales de nuestro tiempo y exploraremos maneras significativas de responder. Los asistentes también aprenderán sobre la Ley de Impactos Acumulativos de Justicia Ambiental del Estado de Minnesota (aprobada en 2023) y las oportunidades para usar el poder de nuestras historias en su implementación.
La participación de la comunidad es crucial en este proceso, ya que nuestras historias tienen el poder de garantizar que la ley tenga la fuerza y la responsabilidad que se pretende que tenga.
