Workshop - SQL Basics to Pro

​What to expect:

​This Workshop will cover topics ranging from introductory to advanced SQL.

​You'll join a small group led by an experienced instructor Nora, who will walk us through:

• ​The basics of selecting from a table 

• ​Understanding the orchestration of a query in database engine

• ​ Joins

• ​ Advanced features: window functions, aggregations, pivots, udfs

• ​ Performance tuning SQL

​In this interactive format, you won’t just watch — you'll participate, discuss, and reflect in breakout sessions with peers. You'll be given a data set and exercises to work through.

​By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of relational databases vs data warehouses, cloud databases, modern data pipeline tools.

​Nora is a Senior Data Engineer who has spent the last 6 yrs working as a java developer and data engineer in fintech.
