About Event

Setting science-based targets in line with the Paris Agreement has become one of the most prevalent themes in corporate climate action, and moving from ambition to action requires a good understanding of your carbon footprint. In this discussion we will explore the critical role comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting practices plays in setting credible emission reduction targets, and supporting validation through platforms like the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). In this discussion, we’ll cover best practices for accurate and complete carbon accounting, and identify key organizational stakeholders that should be involved in the process and other resources to set your target-setting journey up for success. This event is oriented towards ESG controllers, sustainability accounting professionals, procurement teams, and other sustainability professionals interested in better understanding the processes for establishing science-based targets within their organizations.
