Speakers
Daveed Vandevoorde
Daveed is the main author of "C++ Templates — The Complete Guide" and a principal designer of the C++26 reflection facilities. He is also one of the three people who implemented the ill-fated "export" feature. Additionally, he is still an active participant in the C++ standardization process.
Guy Davidson
Guy writes code and turns good engineers into great engineers. He has a long history in game development, having written his first game in 1980 on an Acorn Atom at school.
He spent most of his career at Creative Assembly, ultimately as Head of Engineering Practice, supporting the low level OS libraries for the Total War franchise, and delivered Windows, Mac and Linux versions. Now he is Head of Engineering at Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast.
He is the convenor of the ISO C++ standards committee. This requires him to herd some of the brightest minds on the planet as they align on their goals to continue delivering ever improved versions of the C++ language. He convenes meetings and calls consensus.
Gašper Ažman
Gašper Ažman writes lock-free code and cultivates environments where great developers thrive. As an ecosystem engineer at Citadel Securities, he is the dedicated caretaker of the internal "code biome."
He has been coding professionally and teaching C++ since he was 16, but decided to study graph theory and topology, just to be contrarian. While he loves getting his hands dirty with network I/O and parser generators, his greatest impact is on developer quality, having founded and maintained the internal mentorship program.
He also co-chairs the C++ Networking study group, leaving his fingerprints on the language through major proposals like "Deducing this" and contract assertions—bringing mathematical precision to the future of C++.
Tony van Eerd
Tony has been programming for well over 25 years, and hopefully programming well for at least some of that. If awards are to be believed, he is a very engaging speaker. He is a member of the C++ Standards Committee. He is a Ninja and a Jedi.
