The Lantern - Tea & Vinyl Night

​The Lantern is designed around the belief that creativity flourishes in community, where ideas are shared, perspectives are expanded, and inspiration is ignited.

​During the 17th and 18th centuries, salons became some of Europe’s most influential cultural gatherings. Hosted in private homes, they brought together artists, writers, philosophers, musicians, scientists, and curious thinkers for evenings of conversation and the exchange of ideas. There was rarely a formal agenda or a single teacher. Instead, people shared new work, debated ideas, listened to music, read poetry, and inspired one another through thoughtful dialogue. Many of the Enlightenment’s most influential conversations and artistic movements were nurtured in these intimate rooms, where creativity flourished through community rather than competition.

​This gathering is our modern interpretation of the salon. A space to slow down, share tea, listen to music, exchange ideas, write, reflect, and spend an evening in the company of other curious, creative people. There is no pressure to perform or produce. Just an invitation to make space for the conversations, questions, and moments of inspiration that often lead to our most meaningful work.

The Lantern Collective is honored to bring this first gathering to life in collaboration with Siphonophore / Jorge Maria Los Angeles, whose beautiful space makes evenings like this possible.
