CULEX: Bow Capital x UC San Diego Horizon
After three months of full-time, in-person development at the Design and Innovation Building, the inaugural cohort's six founding teams enter their culminating exercise, a program design shaped by Bow Capital partners who are themselves active-duty and military veterans, bringing CULEX-caliber rigor into founder training for the first time.
The cohort spans dual-use frontiers: ReBlood RX's shelf-stable oxygen carrier for battlefield transfusion, Netra's self-healing mesh network for counter-UAS detection, Evaporion's evaporative cooling for AI accelerators and electrified aircraft, Valanor's GPS-denied autonomous ISR drone platform, AMRAD Tech's portable gamma radiation detector for counter-WMD response, and Tessera Ceramics' rare-earth-free ceramics for extreme-temperature defense systems.
Teams culminate in a field demo day in an operational setting, followed by an investor demo day before a curated audience of defense, government, and venture leaders, the same operators and partners who will decide what happens next.
