The era of hiding behind buzzwords is ending, and that's actually good news for protocols that are genuinely credibly neutral.

​Costs. Gas is no longer the bottleneck on L2s, but infrastructure costs are still real. Running an oracle network, maintaining a prediction market, managing an active DAO treasury, none of it is free. The protocols that survive are the ones that figured out sustainable economics, not the ones that depended on emissions forever.

​Opportunities. Revenue sharing is back. Real yield is back. On-chain treasuries are back. The narrative around "useless tokens" is collapsing under the weight of protocols that actually distribute revenue to holders. AMMs are evolving with V4 hooks.
