RBS Startup Tour in SF Bay Area
During Tech Week, the Ron Brown Venture Lab is bringing the RBS tech community together to visit the headquarters of startups founded by Ron Brown Scholars and share meals to connect with RBS founders, operators, and investors.
We'll start in the East Bay, come over to SF, and work our way down to Silicon Valley.
If you're a Ron Brown Scholar or Captain interested in tech, startups, or VC, we'd love you to join us!
Here's the tentative agenda:
Morning
Visit the HQ of Vori in East Bay (Series B company founded by Brandon Hill, RBS '11)
Visit the HQ of The Hidden Genius Project in Oakland (Tech Nonprofit founded by three Ron Brown Scholars, including its CEO, Dr. Brandon Nicholson, RBS '01)
Afternoon
Lunch in SF with Javaughn Lawrence, RBS '10 (Founder/CEO of Series A startup, DripShop)
Visit the HQ of Avatar Robotics in SF (founded by Colin Webb, RBS '14 and Nenye Anagbogu, RBC '14)
Visit the Tarpeh Lab at Stanford (Chemical engineering facility spinning out startups founded by MacArthur Genius Fellow, Dr. William Tarpeh, RBS '08)
Visit the offices of other RBS in tech (click here to see where they work now)
Evening
Dinner and drinks in Silicon Valley with the RBS tech community
The addresses for each stop of the tour will be shared with approved registrants closer to the event date.
We will cover transportation between all the tour stops via ridesharing for Ron Brown Scholars & Captains; they're only responsible for getting themselves to the first stop on the tour and getting themselves home after the evening dinner.
