Vibe Check: What's AI? Nine Years Later

​Mark Mandel, Francesc Campoy and Melanie Warrick all were co-hosts of the GCP Podcast between 2016 to 2018 and the very first time the three of them were together on it was a 2017 episode asking a simple question: What's AI? That episode started over lunch, when Melanie pointed out that AI and machine learning are different, and they decided to record it.

​Nine years later, they're coming together on Vibe Check to look at what they thought AI was then, what it is now, what changed and what stayed the same.

​They're also bringing back Quick, Draw!, one of the cool things of the week from that episode. They'll play the original game, look at the doodles that trained it and then hand the same drawings to today's models to see where models have come a long way and where they still fall short. Each of them will also show a bit of how they actually work with AI today, and talk about how nine years of this has shaped the way they build and where they think it's heading.
