Be Curious Presents Haemin Sunim
An evening to pause and see things as they are.
Some seasons ask more of us than others. When the way ahead is unclear, or effort stops paying off, our instinct is to push harder and resist what is happening.
Haemin Sunim’s latest book, When Things Don’t Go Your Way, looks at the struggles of modern life, from loss and rejection to uncertainty and loneliness. At its heart is a simple idea: a calmer mind brings clarity, and clarity helps us heal.
His books have sold more than six million copies in over 38 languages, and one became South Korea’s bestselling book of the decade. He studied at UC Berkeley, Harvard and Princeton, where he earned his doctorate, and has been featured by the BBC, The New York Times and NPR.
