DC March for an AI Treaty
Now is the Time for Action!
During this demonstration, we will march from the Capital Building to the Department of State. We demand that the Department of State begin negotiations for an International AI Treaty.
12:00-12:30 PM- Gather in front of the Capital Building
12:30-1:30 PM- March along the National Mall to the Harry S Truman Building
1:30-2:00 PM- We will give speeches on the need for AI governance

Countries like the US and China are caught in a "Race to the Bottom," both are so preoccupied with being the first to make superhuman AI that they aren't stopping to ensure AI is safe in the first place. A treaty could fix this by banning superhuman AI until it can be made safely and responsibly.
This demonstration will have a permit and won't block any traffic. Signs, as well as water, snacks, and sunscreen, will be provided.
