NEXTGEN Robotics Event in Markham (GTA)
Join us at our Second Robotics Networking & Innovation Event in the GTA this time in Markham!
⚠️ Please Read Carefully — This Information Will Help You Make the Most of Your Visit!
TL;DR – Event Highlights
🎟️ Your WWRH NEXTGEN registration includes complimentary access to the FIRA RoboWorld Cup on Friday, July 17.
🟡 Receive your WWRH event badge (lanyard) and official FIRA wristband at the main registration entrance upon arrival. (16 Main St Unionville, Markham, ON L3R 0W7)
⏰ Arrive anytime after 9:00 AM to experience the first day of the international FIRA RoboWorld Cup.
🤖 Enjoy live robot sports competitions, drone events, autonomous vehicle challenges, exhibits, and demonstrations throughout the day.
🍔 Food Truck Festival: Open 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM with a wide variety of food options.
🎉 FIRA Opening Ceremonies: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Gymnasiums #1 & #2).
📍 WWRH NEXTGEN Robotics Event: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Gymnasium #3 (adjacent to the FIRA Opening Ceremonies).
🅿️ Parking will fill up early!!! We expect several hundred vehicles throughout the day. If the Markham Pan Am Centre parking lot is full, please use Google Maps to locate nearby public parking options.
🚗 If you're attending only the 5:00 PM WWRH event, we recommend arriving by 4:30 PM to allow enough time to:
Register at the main entrance
Pick up your WWRH badge (lanyard) and FIRA wristband
Walk to Gymnasium #3
Find your seat before the program begins
🎫 Your WWRH badge and FIRA wristband are required to move between event areas within the venue.
🟧 Follow the bright orange "NEXTGEN Robotics Event" signs throughout the building, or ask any event staff to direct you to the WWRH Stage in Gymnasium #3.
👏 If you arrive early, we encourage you to visit the main FIRA competition arenas, watch some of the international robotics competitions, and then make your way to Gymnasium #3 in time for the 5:00 PM start of the WWRH NEXTGEN Robotics Event.
