About Event

​Before healthcare professionals can fully leverage AI, we must first understand the opportunities, challenges, and competencies required to use these technologies responsibly and effectively.

​This inaugural webinar will focus on assessing the current state of AI literacy in healthcare. Through a multidisciplinary discussion, we will explore what healthcare professionals need to know about AI, how AI is already being used across healthcare settings, and what skills organizations should prioritize to prepare their workforce.

​The session will bring together experts from clinical care, public health, data quality, health informatics, and artificial intelligence to discuss the evolving role of AI in healthcare and identify key educational needs for the healthcare workforce.

​Feature Perspectives:

  • ​Angela Dunn: Dr. Dunn has served in a variety of roles at the state, county, and national level. She currently serves as the Medical Director for Select Health. Her roles have combined deep medical knowledge with a mastery of data and analytics to affect change over large organizations over a broad range of geographic divisions. Dr. Dunn will provide the perspective on the right balance of tech literacy and clinical practice, meeting physicians where they are at and the bigger picture of Physician AI literacy: where are we now, where do we need to be, and how do we get there

  • ​Aik Choon (AC) Tan: Dr. Tan Leads Data Science and AI at Huntsman Cancer Institute. He is an accomplished researcher, speaker and leader. He has demonstrated leadership in workforce AI readiness by his deliberate strategy for AI training for his entire team (60+ people) coupled with sustained efforts in institutionalizing and adapting in this rapidly changing but demonstrably useful technology.

  • ​Carmen Kivisild, PhD: Dr Kivisild is the CEO and Founder at Elnora. In this role, she and her team develop agentic AI systems for laboratory protocols. Dr. Kivisild has taken an active role in building AI literacy for researchers by developing Agentic AI training for laboratory professionals. She can share perspective on how researchers have risen to the challenge of learning AI and how it accelerates and enhances their workflow

  • ​Eric Just: Eric is Chief Data Officer and Founder at Just Health Technologies. He has over two decades of experience data and analytics in healthcare. He has played an active role in developing AI systems and training data teams in AI adoption, focusing on private and local AI with small models. Eric can speak to privacy-first AI principles and how data teams can adapt to the significant new insights AI can provide.
