NYC already ran a successful participatory budgeting experiment — a quadratic voting pilot in Harlem’s District 9, built by RadicalxChange, where real residents allocated real dollars to real community projects. So what worked, what broke, and how can it scale to 8 million people?
On Tuesday, Feb 18 (7–10 PM), join us for a hands-on workshop co-hosted by Decentral Park and RadicalxChange, where we’ll learn/brainstorm what it would take to make participatory budgeting more accessible, secure, and worth showing up for—and use PB as a launchpad for thinking about a more engaging, citywide participatory civic process.
