Wicked Grounds: This is Your Brain on Kink (Any Questions?)

​While our relationships with kink are deeply personal and sometimes idiosyncratic, the neuroscience of peak experiences can tell us a lot about what we all have in common. Learning about what happens in our brains when we play can lead to better communication and better scenes.

​Together, we'll explore:

• ​The four major neurotransmitters behind building a kink headspace

• ​How and why edgeplay makes even well-planned scenes less predictable

• ​How to stay in communication before, during, and after each scene

• ​What to know when negotiating for relationships

• ​The causes of post-scene drop, and how to deal with drop when it occurs

​PRESENTER:

​​Miriam Green (they/ them) is the owner of Wicked Grounds and has been teaching in BDSM for over one dozen years for Wicked Grounds, Society of Janus, Foundations, Dark Odyssey, and other local and national BDSM organizations. Mir has been in the public BDSM scene for nearly 20 years in Austin, Houston, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

​​Tickets: $20 - $50 in advance, or $30 - $60 at the door. Please pay at the level you can comfortably afford.

​​The regular ticket is $30. This is what most people should pay.

​​We offer multiple price points, so that cost is less of a barrier to attendance.
