About Event

Hacktor Watch Hackathon is the perfect opportunity to jump straight into the world of modern embedded systems and work on real hardware, not just simulators. You’ll start from a minimal port of Zephyr OS on the Hacktor Watch and have the chance to help bring the watch’s essential components to life: display, IMU, fuel gauge, haptic motor, and much more. It’s an ideal format both for those who want to learn how an operating system for low-power devices is built and for those who want to see what applied open-source development looks like, with concrete impact and visible results during the hackathon itself.

Beyond the low-level bring-up work, the hackathon is also a launchpad for app ideas that can turn the Hacktor Watch into a useful and creative platform. Once you lay the hardware foundations, you can start writing watch apps and contribute directly to the project’s evolution alongside other participants passionate about embedded, firmware, and wearable tech. If you want to learn fast, work in a motivated team, and walk away with valuable hands-on experience in a real project, this hackathon is the right place for you.
