Comics Critique Crew
Comics creators of all stripes are invited to a collaborative critique of in-progress work. At this monthly event, up to 3 creators will present their work for feedback and commentary from a group of their peers.
Comic artists are welcome regardless of whether they are interested in having their work discussed! This event is intended to build a more connected comics community. 💜
To be considered for critique, please submit your request in this form by September 20th and you will be contacted by the event organizers directly.
Work submitted may be at any stage of development, including script, thumbnails, pencils, inks, or even final art.
Chosen pieces will be distributed to attendees in advance of the event, and attendees will be expected to have read and prepared notes for all of the pieces being presented.
Attendees who are providing feedback are encouraged to deliver it in a compassionate, clear way and to come at their notes from a place of genuine support and curiosity.
The goal of this crit group is to provide creators with feedback that can help them achieve their ideal vision for the in-progress work, and not to tear them down arbitrarily. We are all coming to this group to learn from one another and grow as comics creators, and should assume other attendees have that same intention.
HOW TO FIND US
Our studio is located at 21-07 41st Avenue. When you get to the building, please use the intercom to the left of the door to find The Collaboratory or 213 in the directory. We will answer your call and buzz you in remotely.
Once inside, you can take the elevator to Floor 2 and find us in Studio 213.
MASK REMINDER
The Collaboratory is a Masks Required space. 😷 We also run two air filters/purifiers during our gatherings. If you don't arrive with a mask, don't worry—we'll have them available at the door.
If you're not feeling well or have reason to believe you've been exposed to a viral illness, please consider staying home. Let's keep each other safe. 😷
REFUND POLICY
QNSC is unable to issue refunds. If you are unable to attend an event for which you have purchased a ticket, tickets can be transferred to another person at the buyer's arrangement. If you have a special circumstance, please reach out to hello@queenscollaborative.com
