Meet Roland Yau
Roland is the Managing Partner of CoCoon Ignite Ventures, L.P., a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage technologies. At CoCoon Ignite Ventures, Roland has led several investments for the fund and serves on the board of directors of some of the portfolio companies. In addition to investing, Roland serves as an active advisor to portfolio companies, large corporations, founders, and other venture capital and private equity funds.
Roland earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from New York University in 2004, and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of London in 2007. Prior to establishing CoCoon Ignite Ventures, Roland worked as a corporate finance lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. At Freshfields, Roland worked on structuring transactions relating to fundraising, deal structuring, and mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate governance matters.
