Mosque & Madrassah Hackathon 2026
A new three-day in-person hackathon for people who want to build practical technology for mosques, madrassahs and Muslim communities.
From 27-29 November 2026 in London, builders, designers, founders, students, educators, mosque teams and community leaders will come together to turn real community problems into working prototypes.
The focus is practical impact: tools that can help with mosque operations, madrassah learning, accessibility, youth engagement, giving, sustainability, safety, communication and community services.
You do not need to arrive with a finished idea or a full team. Bring your skills, lived experience or problem insight. Solo applicants can request team matching, and teams of 2-5 are encouraged.
What makes a strong project:
- A clear mosque, madrassah or community problem
- A real user who would benefit from the solution
- A prototype that people can understand or try
- Respect for culture, safeguarding, accessibility and trust
- A route toward a pilot with real institutions after the event
Core tracks:
- Smart Mosque Operations
- Learning & Madrassah
- Accessibility & Inclusion
- Youth & Community Engagement
- Giving, Sustainability & Impact
- Open Brief / Community-Led Wildcard
Three-day programme:
Day 1: Kickoff, challenge briefings, team formation and problem framing.
Day 2: Build sprint, mentor sessions, product reviews and pitch preparation.
Day 3: Demo day, judging, awards and pilot matchmaking.
Register your interest if you want to build, design, mentor, sponsor, pilot, or bring a real challenge from your mosque, madrassah or community organisation. London venue details and final preparation guidance will be shared with registered participants.
