EVOLVE: 8090 AI Hackathon

​We’re opening 8090’s Redwood City office for a night of building with AI.

​Evolve brings experienced engineers together for a 20-hour hackathon on November 13–14. The challenge: build AI agents and tools that make legacy software easier to understand, test, or update.

​You could build an agent that explains an undocumented codebase, a tool that catches errors during a migration, or a workflow that helps engineers update an older system.

​You’ll get access to Software Factory and support from 8090’s engineering team throughout the build. We’ll finish with live demos, judging, and $3,000+ in prizes. Chamath Palihapitiya is scheduled to join the ceremonies.

​WHAT TO EXPECT

• ​20 hours of building, overnight from Friday to Saturday

• ​Software Factory access and engineering support

• ​Other experienced engineers to meet and exchange ideas with

• ​Dinner, late-night food, breakfast, and lunch

• ​Live demos and $3,000+ in prizes

​Vercel, ElevenLabs, and Composio are supporting the event.

​WHO IT’S FOR

​Engineers with approximately 2+ years of professional experience who want to build with AI and tackle a practical software challenge.

​Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
