​Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and highlighting the cracks with gold. Instead of hiding damage, Kintsugi celebrates it—transforming broken pieces into something even more beautiful and meaningful than before. It is a practice rooted in patience, mindfulness, and the idea that imperfection is part of an object’s history and value.

​I’m Emi Jones, and I studied authentic Kintsugi in Japan under a Kintsugi master for 12 months, learning the traditional techniques and philosophy behind this beautiful art form. I’m excited to share this practice with you from my studio in Los Angeles.

​In this live-streaming class, you’ll receive a carefully prepared Kintsugi kit delivered directly to your home, with free shipping within the U.S. The kit includes everything you need to complete your repair. (Except a broken ceramic)

​We’ll meet live over Zoom, where I’ll guide you step by step through the entire process—from assembling your broken pieces to finishing your piece with beautiful gold detailing. No experience is needed. I’ll work alongside you in real time, helping you slow down, focus, and enjoy the process of restoration.
