11:00 AM—12:00 PM | Mapping & gentrification: What is considered the West Side?
12:00—2:00 PM | Brunch and Conversation: Searching for Home, Legacy and Lost Ancestral Memory
What would it look like for Black Chicagoans to rebuild relationships with the places our ancestors left—and use that connection to imagine new futures? What would it look like for West Siders to preserve their communities in Chicago while building new connections with their ancestral lands in Mississippi and beyond? What would it mean for future generations to return — not as a reversal of the Great Migration, but as stewards, builders and partners? A conversation about land, legacy, cooperative economics and the Black futures our ancestors imagined.

Guests interested in doing this one-on-one workshop with WSJC will need to indicate that when registering for this summit. Capacity for this workshop is limited to 50 people. Those who sign-up for this workshop must bring the following:
