The Secret Shapes of Language

​Join us and fellow curious hands for an afternoon of drawing the bold, architectural shapes of Indian scripts. This is a 100% hands-on workshop for absolute beginners — no art background, no design experience, and no equipment required. Just bring yourself; everything else is provided.

​Together we’ll demystify the hidden logic behind Indian writing systems, learn to see letters as simple skeletons, and build our own bold, hand-lettered pieces to take home. This session centres South Asian scripts and stories but is open to all, and encourages exploration, curiosity, and connection — whether these letterforms are familiar from childhood or brand new to your eyes.

​By the end, you’ll have learnt a way of seeing that lets you approach any unknown script with confidence.
