"Hack to Get Hired" is a high-stakes, high-output hackathon designed to bridge the gap between talented developers and the NYC companies who need them. Hosted at the cutting-edge NYU 370 Jay Street facility in Brooklyn, this isn't your typical "build-a-startup" weekend. This is a focused technical challenge where the ultimate prize is a signed offer letter or a fast-tracked interview.
We’ve curated a room full of Engineering Managers and Technical Leads from some of New York's most exciting tech companies. They aren't just here to hand out stickers—they are actively looking for their next backend, frontend, and full-stack hires.
How it works: When you arrive, you’ll be presented with a set of technical challenges curated by our hiring partners. These aren't "Leetcoding" puzzles; they are real-world problems involving API integration, data visualization, and scalable architecture. You’ll have six hours to build, iterate, and deploy. Throughout the day, engineering leads will be roaming the floor, observing how you solve problems and handle blockers.
