The AI windfall could help reduce suffering. For the first time, it could also give us a chance to seriously test what becomes possible when building the power and infrastructure to challenge the systems producing that suffering is properly resourced.
Let's talk about:
The distinctions the piece makes (cause area vs social movement, suffering reduction vs animal liberation)
Whether and how to direct more of the AI windfall towards animal freedom part of the movement, as opposed towards suffering reduction, and how ending factory farming fits into this all
